rosie's party...
My heart wasn't in a huge 1st birthday party and Jim had to do a presentation last night after work....So, the kids and I had a little party for her. Molly and Rory planned the decorations (streamers and pink plates) and the menu (jello jigglers, cake, ice cream, cookies and soda).

Happy Birthday, my sweet Rosie!
Sweet Rosie,
As delightful as you are, there were times this past year that I did not think I'd be writing this letter to you as I was sure I'd be carted away to the real funny farm. Between your colic and my shingles and bout with pneumonia, it was a rough start where I learned many creative coping skills.
However, you eventually realized it was easier to go through life smiling than screaming and adopted the Roxy motto for your own.
You are a joy, an absolute joy.

It's been a lot of fun having my long lost nephews back from Okinawa. I've really, really enjoyed watching all the kids play and get to know each other again. It was very funny watching the grandparents run (!!!) out the door tonight.
