It's a Funny Farm Life!!!

animal kingdom...

There are two types of Disney people.

Parade people.

And those that avoid-the-parade-at-all-cost people.

We are not fans of the parade.

Today, we planned on avoiding paraded at all costs.

We went to animal kingdom and watched nemo the musical. It was awesome. It was massively crowded so after some time in Dino land we went back to old key west for naps and lunch.

But Maggie, Rosie and I were theonly ones who napped. Jim brought mollyand Rory swimming and on th water slides.

We had an awesome dinner at the animal kingdom lodge. It was so much fun.

And then back to animal kingdom where the crowds had thinned out (a teeny bit) and Molly, Rory and I went on the Kali river expedition-twice. It was awesome. The 2nd time through Molly got soaked. I mean soaked.

Tonight, it is an early bedtime with the hopes of getting to the magic kingdom very early.

Some highlights:
~Jim telling Molly the roast beef at dinner was zebra and mols liking it.
~the river rapid ride was great
~Rory going on tip toes to meet the height requirement
~watching rosie's hair curl the closer it got to naptime and meals
~Maggie and Rosie playing on a rickshaw
~climbing the rope course in dinoland

Must dos for tomorrow:
~ fried dough.
~ Swiss family Robinson (I read the book with Molly and Rory over the summer and we loved it.)

Some pictures from our day in the magic
kingdom. I'm posting from my phone and I'm not sure what order the pics are coming out in. But enjoy anyway-

Highlights:
~Paying 15 bucks for Rory to have his face painted only for him to wipe it off about 2 minutes afterwards.
~Molly helping Maggie off every bus and ride. I knew this already but it's nice to be reminded that she is a gem.

~watching Jim brave the tea cups without a dose of Dramamine. Nicely done, jimbo!
~watching the sparkly Christmas lights light up the castle at night
~the buzz lightyear ride just rocks
~lots of laughs at the monster Inc comedy club show
~so many more but I must rest up before animal kingdom tomorrow morning

Rory enjoyed 'honey, I shrunk the audience' ride with Jim.

Rosie loved meeting Stitch and the imagine musical squares.

Molly had fun on the Earth Space ride.

We also played a 'kim possible' secret mission where they give you a phone and the phone rings with a clue and you have to go to the next location to complete the mission. Well, we let Molly and Rory read the clue and they dragged us to 'England' from 'italy' (not close in epcot BTW) and we were supposed to be at some pretzel stand in Germany. Ugh! Unanimously, we agreed to abort the secret mission in favor of getting ice cream.

Afternoon naps were taken by all and then back to epcot. We smartened up after the nap and brought BOTH a stroller for Maggie and Rosie which made navigating the crowds a bit easier.

We went to a castle in 'Norway' and enjoyed dinner with Belle, aurora, Ariel, Snow white and Cinderella. Lovely.

Another highlight- we forgot rory's sweatshirt and Rosie's blanket on the bus. So, I went to the bus info place and the guy found both missing items. I guess my reaction was a bit over-the-top enthusiastic because he ran into his office and came out with all kinds of Disney swag for the kids. Bandanas,rings, bracelets, pins for all the kids. Awesome.

Rory: so, the ride shrinks everyone.
Jim: yep just like the movie. It makes everyone really small.
Rory: hey Rosie maybe they can shrink your head.
Jim: Awww... Poor little Rosie is having such a nice time. Leave her little bucket head alone.

heaven, help us...

AS if our lives aren't noisy, busy and insane enough- we are taking the funny farm to Disney World!

We had a terrific Christmas and I'll post pictures later but I am doing a little last minute packing and going to bed early. The funny farm ships out to the most magical place on earth at about 6 am.

Sadly, my macbook will not make the trip to Disney so I will only post pictures from my phone. Be back in 2010!

According to Santa...

...six out of seven of us made it on the 'good list'.

Yesterday, I had Maggie and Rosie in one of those super long Target shopping cart, the kind where two kids can sit face-to-face in front of the cart.

At the checkout, they were fighting and it was beginning to escalate. 

So, I looked over to see what was going on and found Maggie with a fistful of hair.

It was sort of perplexing because it was her own hair.

The cashier said, "The younger one pulled out her sister's hair and then the older one got mad and took it back."

So, in an attempt to avoid this...

I've been dispensing supplements and vitamins to the kids every day.  

And combined with my slightly over-the-top mandatory purell regimen it has worked. For the most part, we have all been relatively healthy with only 3 ear infections and a brief stomach flu.

But I'm forever finding vitamins stashed all over the house and here is the latest hiding spot.

Christmas concert...

Molly, Rory and Maggie were in a Christmas concert on Friday night.

Lovely!

Maggie fell asleep on the way home. The Bag of Dough was a deflated Bag of Dough.
