Time Capsule
October 12, 2007
Directions: Make a list of 10-15 items that you possess that evoke memories. Choose things that represent stages of your life, including your childhood, teenage years, early adulthood, etc, Try to span your entire life thus far. The order of your list does not matter.
Amy's Time Capsule:
1. The red A-B-C scrapbook I made in 2000. There were times that I looked at Aidan and felt guilty that I was spending time scrapbooking rather than playing with him, but the scrapbook contains incredibly precious memories of his 1st year.
2. Red and white "Bitty Baby Box" filled with special things from Molly's 2nd birthday party. I outdid myself with that birthday, I created a castle in our house, made pink chocolate hearts as favors and a birthday cake with sugar cones as castle turrets.
3. Rory's blanket which shows he is from the "Stanky O'Blanky" clan in Ireland.
4. Maggie's ultrasound picture. Her spine is perfectly fine, thank you very much.
5. Picture of me as a bride walking across the grass lawn of the Kennebunkport hotel where we were married.
6. The two memory boxes, that haven't been opened in a million years, way up on my closet shelf which are filled with pictures and memories from my "living at home" years.
7. The afghan my grandmother Lorraine made for me. It is so huge and I feel so loved and warm whenever it is around me.
8. The little plastic baby chick, Jim and I take turns leaving him in funny places to surprise each other.
9. Charm bracelet. I have charms from my 1st birthday, the pineapple when my Gram went to Hawaii, a swan boat, a Registered nurse symbol...
10. The absolutely gorgeous pair of Waterford PINEAPPLE candle holders that I received as a gift from the real estate agent who helped us buy 3 houses in 5 years. She loves us and we love her.
11. The bunny rabbit necklace I've worn every Easter since I was a little girl.
12. The blazer my "senior sister" made for me my Freshman year of high school. Her name was Michelle and she drove a little red Ford Mustang.
13. ALL of the quilts my mom has made me, but especially the red one and the bleu and white one we used as a guest book at our wedding.
